I owned a 76 Olds 98 Coupe for many years. Sat on the road beautifully & the 455 pulled like a locomotive & what a ride. You can't compare the junk we have to tolorate today with their endless computors & high tech....all waiting to go kaput & cost you a fortune to repair or replace!

And the last before downsizing. We used to live across the street from an old bald headed guy that had a 98 convertible of this design. It was white with red interior. He took my brother and two sisters for rides in it a few times. This was about 1976. His was almost new at the time. This is a stunning beauty 😍. Oh yeah, my Uncle had an Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon. I remember that my Uncle lived ona gravel road and it was still smooth riding. The station wagon version of this design was huge and unique. Thinking about it and looking at it closely, the convertible was Delta88 but they're the same car underneath. The station wagon of my Uncles was definitely a ninety eight. FINALLY if you need anyone to fuss over and just help out with the old cars, I'd love to be around the old cars you feature. I'm an old car nut. Are you hiring?????????????.

I had a 74 Caprice Classic in 1982. Just a fantastic car. I lived in Calgary Alberta at the time, and I can’t tell you the number of times that car drove me over two major mountain ranges - the Rockies and the Coastal’s - all the way to Vancouver island and back, plus many many trips through the Rockies to the Okanagan valley. A walk in the park for a car like this! (I had the exact same drive train) I’d take a Duce and a quarter, a 98, or a Caprice of this vintage, in a heartbeat. This 98 is a beaut!

These were extremely reliable cars requiring only the basics in maintenance. The suspension was designed for radial tires, so they drove like they were on rails. GM cars of this vintage had a problem with rust. Many long-term owners would drive a new car directly from the dealer to Ziebart or Rusty Jones to have it treated with aftermarket rust proofing (I worked for Ziebart at the time).

Just had to watch. The car when I was 15. My parents had a 73 Delta 88. It was green and had 455 V-8. I love seeing this in this condition. Oh it was the Royale.!!!!

Had one come into the Shell I hung around from time to time. They sold cars now and then. It was gold with this interior, fully equipped. They sold it for 3k in 1980 cause no one wanted a big car. I wanted it so bad but it was gone

My grandmother use to have a car like that. I always thought she was rich. I remember riding in the back seat and someone let the back window up on my arm. I started crying and grandmother, (sitting in the back with me) kissed my arm and it didn’t hurt anymore. I always loved her.

I tried to bid on a burnt orange '76 at an auction in the mid '90's...stem to stern a beautiful machine. The 455 was plenty stout, and easily scattered the parking lot gravel. Maybe I'll take a look at the asking price for this one.

Same exact roofline as Buick Electra & Cadillac SedanDeVille, EXCEPT they all had that tiny little piece of roof moulding stuck to the top of the back door, DRIVES ME NUTS! A thousand engineers & designers, was that truly the best they could do?? (Would still love to have any one of the 3, I think I could get over it!)

I wish they could've designed the rear door windows to totally retract. Same with Fleetwoods. If you can design with no pillars, it would be great to have all windows totally retract.

These cars aren't worth much the only reason is 454 and 455 motors in any shape $5000 would be the extent of most I remember scraping cars like these big tanks for weight back in the early mid 90s when these were old daily drivers I think I was getting 100 or 200 cdn per car around 91 or 92 back when you could buy a new Chevrolet Corsica or Lumina for $10000
