231 CID V6 , I had one of these and it was awesome ! It was a wonderful car and if I ever come across one again I’m going to do whatever it takes to purchase it. I was 16 and it was my first car and it was my first taste of freedom and my car was a basket case but I turned it around and fixed everything on it. Lord I’d love to get another one.

Haven't seen a Sunbird in that condition in YEARS! Most of them rusted away, and the few you do see will most likely be on a quarter-mile drag strip.

I had a 78 with the iron duke. It was a decent car until the firewall rusted through where the clutch cable goes through. I couldn’t disengage the clutch . It was my first car.

Damn how did this car survive all these years in such great shape? Also, that's some interesting plumbing from the muffler back... did they come from the factory that way?? I can't remember the last time I saw one IRL. I'm 36 and even when I was a kid you hardly ever saw these cars.
@thatoneguy6776 Жыл бұрын
you never saw these cars... because they were always broken down in the dealer shops

Someone pretty please tell me what that song is?
@bw86323 жыл бұрын
Don’t want to tell you something you may already know, but generally this type of music can be found under “public domain” music. KZbin content creators frequently use it. Just google it, you’ll come up with websites with hundreds of free to use songs. That’s probably where this came from, unless the creator is a musician and created his/her own

I have no idea what this place was asking for this Un-bird --- their prices are unGodly so I'm going to guess $15,000 -- but this EXACT CAR, in this EXACT condition, was going for only $7,000 in the Arizona Craigslist about three years ago. Now do you see why real Americans don't want to sell -- and certainly not buy -- from predatory dealers...??????? Keep them OFF of Craigslist and sell to your neighbors -- not to thieves.

Terrible car. Burned oil, over boosted power steering, pathetic handling, door handles ripped out, dash disintegrated in sun, weak i4 motor, stiff clutch pedal, ball joint failed and left me dead in the road. Wouldn't wish this car on my worst enemy. Mechanic back in the day said this was first truly "disposable " car. Just take it to the junk yard and hand them the keys. This car made me not ever want to own an american car again. Owned nothing but japanese cars ever since.
