My first new car was a Pontiac Sunbird 2 door coupe. I liked the car a lot but had electrical problems with it in the rain and traded it in on a 1989 Pontiac Gram Am 2 door coupe. Had no problems with the Grand Am.

I recently acquired a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird SE with 91,000km on it. It runs fine but needs either a trans or engine mount.

4:47 With 1995 Sunfire GT wheels. I was only aware of the FWD J-body Sunbirds until today. Another video featuring a '78 Formula popped up in my feed and my fascination with the earlier Sunbirds led me here. Great video BTW. I love the RK Sport kit on the 1990 GT. My brother had a '94 SE 3.1 V6 when I was a kid and I loved that car. The '91 SE and GT you showed appear to have Z24 hoods.

I had a 1980 Sunbird coup with the 4 cylinder iron Duke engine and 4 speed manual transmission. Sold her 14 years later with just over 200,000 miles on her to someone who had the same year car, guess he wanted it for parts.

Has to be a Monza ('79 or older) '80 Monza had single square headlight & more "Chevette" looking grill Buick Skyhawk never came with a spoiler

I took my driver’s test in a 79 Sunbird. Looked exactly like the red notchback they showed. I remember my dad bought a set of 13” snowflake rims for it. Was a sharp little car. Too bad it only had the Iron Duke 4cyl so it was gutless. Couldn’t imagine how worse it would have been if it had A/C.

I had a notchback in Germany ,it would shift from 1st to 3rd skipping 2nd so I junked it and bought a new Nissan.
