1976 Terry Miller Bedlam TD

I’m a 79 grad of Oklahoma State, I was there that day as I was a tuba player in the OSU band. They had us in the opposite end zone and I remember that play. Terry was a heck of a athletic and really a nice guy. I spoke to him several times on campus and when we went to the 76 Tangerine Bowl in Orlando the band stayed at the same hotel as the team. I ran into Terry in the hotel restaurant the next morning after the game and he spoke to several band members and thanked us for being there.

@@thegreenhornet7749 I can’t remember that GH but it seems like there was a good crowd of Cowboy fans there. The hotel was completely full of Cowboy party. On second thought I think your talking about the Bedlam game. There was plenty of Sooner fans behind us. Every time we stood up to play they threw stuff at us.

@@Supercell725 Haha! That sounds about right...the next time osu beat them in 95 in Norman was my first bedlam game. I was 14 and my dad took me. I'll never forget it

Terry Miller #43 was awesome fornominal fast quick; good vision Before Thurman Thomas ..Barry Sanders. Terry Miller was the beginning of Oklahoma state history.

@@kendrickjones3115 I was at Oklahoma State then. I talked to Terry several times on campus and he was a down to earth guy. I believe he was from Colorado.

I was at this game as a 12 year old. Everybody I knew in the OU universe just expected we would beat OSU every year because we always did. Freaking Terry Miller - where did he come from?? Somehow I can remember to this day a newspaper story about him taking women's panty hose to wear as a cold weather layer, the way Under Armor and the others are used today.

He wore it for support of his massive thigh muscles as well as for warmth. One of his nicknames was “Super Girdle”. Doc Cooper was ahead of his time w/ innovations like that as well pioneering gloves for the offensive lineman. He took boxing gloves and cut them so they fit them.

I remember the panty hose stories also. The guy had some legs on him like a horse. If I remember the panty hose helped him from pulling muscles and getting Charlie horses

Nike did some crazy stuff for the uniforms for OSU. They bought back the black helmets, they should have probably brought back the orange helmets too.

I was 18 months old & my dad was going to OU dental school. He graduated from OSU two years prior, he got crap from OU fans at the dental school. Mom & dad were walking up the ramp at Memorial Stadium and he heard the cheating... he thought, "great OU already scored". He still has the Oklahoman paper from that Bedlam win :) GO POKES!
