It’s great that the biggest 2500 TR6 engine is still closely linked to the smallest oldest 4 cylinder unit that was in the Standard 8 and 10, then various Triumph Heralds Spitfires 1300s 1500s Toledos Dolomites and even MG Midgets ! I wonder if that other unused gasket was for a 4 cylinder ?

Could the aluminum sealing block be squared up using your shop press? Or will it never be right once it’s bowed like that?
