Er… five litre V8? Is that a Ford motor? I feel fairly sure the few ‘TR8s’ that were released late on in the life of the TR7 used the all aluminium 3500cc Rover V8 of Buick heritage. Well there we go - this is a TR7 and not a TR8, so it must have been born with a 2000cc four-pot.

Hey, Mick! Sorry to say, I don't know the pedigree of that 5.0 engine....may very well be a Ford as the distributor is at the front of the engine. Thanks! :) Jack
