Great work!…very surprised how easily it was for you to remove the crankshaft pulley…they’re nightmare stories out there of how difficult they could be to remove. Many times the water pump is replaced at this point for the obvious reasons and so are all the seals behind the pulleys. Looking forward to more videos! Cheers!

It is critical to make sure the auxiliary shaft pulley is align properly. It is the large pulley at the five o'clock position to the tension bearing. Look at time 10.0, there is a raised casting from center to outer, may also be a dot at the outermost of it, it must align with the bolt at 1 o'clock along with the distributor on 1 compression, cams aligned with plate and crank pulley on TDC, see manual. At 12.6 the aux shaft pulley is bumped clockwise about two teeth and no longer aligned with the bolt head. The shaft can and will interfere with the block internally, Depending on how many teeth are advanced it can sound like a rod knock and I have read that at some point of advancement internal damage from contact. I know from experience. Did a head gasket on a customers car some 30 years ago, replace the water pump, belt pulley bearing and belt, all the labor to remove is 90 percent done and nothing more time and money wasted is buttoning everything up and pump leaks or bearing growls or belt brakes couple of miles later, started up and WTH? could here what sounded like a rod knock lower in the engine. Found a fiat Lancia ferarri mechanic and he informed me of the commonly missed pulley alignment issue. Back to pulling the rad covers ect, aligned all marks, back together and knock was eliminated. I believe it is also in the Bentley manual, which I was to cheep to buy, which would have saved me the stress, time and money loss.

Yes, if you get it wrong you'll get a knocking noise. It's the cam on the oil pump/distributor drive that operates the fuel pump tapping one of the connecting rods! Aligning it correctly means that they (just) miss each other.

Any advice on the timing? My 72 has a yellow timing cover like this one but no matter how much I look I can’t find what each timing mark means online or what I should set it too, I have the car running but it keeps blowing white smoke like it is running rich

Unfortunately, no. I would recommend getting the manual I got from Auto Ricambi, very helpful. I may be wrong, but it sounds like you’ve got other issues. White smoke does not mean a rich condition. Usually means a blown headgasket. When the engine is cold, check your coolant. If it’s milky and Grey, you’ve got a head gasket problem. Also worth checking the spark plugs, pressure testing the coolant system, and leak down testing the cylinders

it takes 30 min 60 min to remove the cylinderhead when the headgasket just worn out and no overheat the coolant was stil warm when i turned the key eeeasy engines to work on

I think you're better off working on a plate of ravioli. Nice looking car though, rustprone, but then, all 70s and older like to rust a lot. Just like me.
