Early '77 F250's had the Dana 60 front axle. Ford, once again, had to cheapen and go to the smaller front Dana axle to keep up with GM's constant reduction of quality and durability. Ford and Dodge really built some beasts back in the day, most people don't understand

Mine too. I loved the 71 to about 79 f series. Strong as an ox. My friend had a 72 f-250 along time ago and entered it in truck pulls and won every time in his category. It only had a 360 4 speed

Should have a 77 grill and a fuel door. Truck is a 77 1/2 with that suspension. But the truck is awesome!

So is it a ranger or is it a custom? In the front it says F250 Ranger but the bed says custom. obviously it's a different bed from a different truck?? I'm just wondering?

It looks like a custom which is the least optioned model, a Ranger would have more options . It also has a 75 grille

1934rod grille shells are all the same ,, yes the plastic inserts are 73 - 75 and yes it has a lot of chrome but incorrect bed So it is more than likely a ranger,,,, and it is a hiboy all were up until 78 when they got a married transfer case ,,, pre 78 had a divorced transfer case with a short driveline between transfer case and trans

Eric K I just got a 76 hiboy with a divorced case but it's a basket case, all for the drivetrain for a custom build ( 87 Mazda B2600 4x4 I've had since 1990 ) wish me luck =]

They never give the prices, most are asking about $60,000.00, but you never know what they sell for. Watching eBay or Hemmings gives a good idea of the prices. They tend to be around $20K.
