This car has the rare bucket seats and console. The gear selector would normally be placed in the console when ordered with buckets seats, unless the car was ordered with a tilt steering column, in which case you got the column mounted shift.

77 T-bird was my first car. I scrapped it in the early 90's because it needed catalytic convertors other wise the car was is in pretty good shape. No rust. I regretted scrapping it the second I left the scrap yard right to this day.

I love that Thunderbird!! I would love to see a Marti Report on this one. It is rare: 400, buckets, cornering lights, chrome outside mirrors, and base hubcaps.

For the first time since 1957, the 1977 Ford Thunderbird do have 2 headlights instead of 4 when the covers are open and the headlights are on. Too bad they do not make 4 door sedans for the 1977-1982 Ford Thunderbird, like they did it for 1967-1971 models.

I would not buy it for investment, but own it, drive it on the weekend and keep it clean. I wished that you were near me as I live in middle Tennessee. 77' and 78' version are the ones that I am seeking, because Ford re-designed the tale ligts differently for 1979.
