By request. It was a very nice day here in Ohio so I thought it would be a nice time to do some sheets and towels. Tap warm water, Tide Cold Water Clean. Camera battery died during the rinse. Uploaded anyway.

Wow , I had the same issue and log onto this Every night to help me hit zzz state. I stated a similar comment about a year or two ago on another video of a washer with great sound. I like the dishwasher swoosh as well. The sound of the washer has helped me with anxiety and is similar to taking a sleeping pill or other substances to trick my brain into relaxing . Amazing how the human body is composed of a majority of water and those that have discovered this connection of calm state of mind can rely on it. I think that there is a deeper connection to nature as a whole. I found that the sound of Yosemite falls has a similar effect . We are now water bros....lol Take care and thanks for the comment . I have been waiting to converse with somebody with a similar experience that is so profound and literally life altering!

Hi mate ! I think we may be related . In the animal kingdom that is ....and by the fact that we are drawn to this particular sound . Nostalgia in the deepest scense . The whom mate . Yes the whom. Think about and then project it to a sound that all humans had a one time an affinity for as we developed and moved on or are very drawn toward this " familiar sound " in for a deep relaxation. Clear your mind and wait for the spinal chills . You can control them if you train your self, you will catch my drift . Found an older Whirlpool washer that sat outside 25 years and looked like it had flooded in high water more than that. Also had a big animal nest inside it. Got it for free . Hooked it up to garden hose and plugged it in in the driveway after blowing all the crap out, and there was nothing wrong with it. 100% functional. The grease, the bearings, the motor, all were working as they should. Just needed a lot of bondo and bodywork on the panels. The Maytag Epic Z I have in my house that I bought in 2013, made in 2007, the rubber seal gasket went bad and I had to replace that. No appliance company would do it because they said it was a waste of time. I don't have $2,300 for a new washer similar to that one. Replaced the seal myself for $60, took 2 hours. The button plastic on the control panel is now rotting off from frequent use, so you have to stick your fingers or a pencil in the hole to push the buttons

As much fun as it is to have front load washer and dryer, the sounds of top load units are not replaceable.

What a coincidence it is to come across this post. I had been thinking recently about how technical design can (should ?) be included among the arts. It requires creativity, problem-solving, innovation and is often elegant in form.

Oh my goodness, me too. However, the filter tray is missing. Wish I could find you one I'd send it to you. That's ok. I'll take it. This the perfect example of a manufacturer fixing a design that was never broke. The "Egg Heads" in the engineering department had to come up with something new to justify their reason for receiving a paycheck. The boys in the GE tech department once again trick the GE front office. Thank you for this video.

The ramp agitator is cool but it's nice to see the straight vanes in GE machines like this one. Most videos are of the ramp style. Overall I prefer the straight vanes to the ramps.

@@albertcarello7328Other than KZbin videos I have only seen 2 GE washers in the last 40 years that had straight vane agitators. I prefer these to the ramps. The ramps are cool but I just prefer the straight vanes more. Just like I prefer the old bakelite straight vain agitator to the roto swirl in Kenmore washers.

There's hardly any laundromats now that use GE washers. It's either Maytag or Speed Queen.
@abcsd12544 жыл бұрын
02chevyguy Having had family that bought recent GE laundry equipment, I believe that would be due to the unimpressive commercial offering GE currently provides. If they included heaters, I would have a Speed Queen front load washer in my home.

This is an odd community I stumbled upon, I had no clue existed. I just came to compare efficiencies in today's newer machines with ones I grew up with. The anxiety I got watching the spin cycle. I find the newer machines sound pretty relaxing. Also, our dishwasher sounds really nice at night.
