The son needs to remember what a great dad he has. Many wish to fiddle with their dads in the garage all day, fixing or building stuff.

Did you guys ever finish up? I’m restoring a 74 Cherokee and can really use some guidance. That tailgate was a nightmare!!! Good to see your video and know I’m no moron and it’s a “real problem” with these vehicles. Anyway, would love to see the rest of your project. Was really helpful so far.

Two thumbs up!! I have a 1982 that I am doing from the ground up and the rust cracks and holes it had was amazing. Looking forward to other videos of Gomer Pile.

My tailgate was in a bind. One day, I couldn’t roll the window up, or down. Bent the control arms back (kinda) and it clunks all the way up and all the way down. Glad to see another smaller channel working on a Cherokee. I have a much, much smaller channel where I work on mine.
@anticsgarage52304 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting! Yeah, the tailgate situation is kind of a mess, but we'll get it figured out. By the way, I just checked out your channel and subscribed- gotta keep track of a fellow full-size Jeeper!

Thanks man I appreciate it! I wish there were more channels out there where we can follow along. Seems like most of the videos are Jeeps for sale, still cool though

Having the same Jeep I understand Electicpixinogo. Make sure to add a ground strap from the engine to the frame. This cured many problems my Jeep had. I got rid of the 360, Quadtrac, and OffsetDana.Replaced them with a Crate GM 350 for a K 1500 TBI with all the accessories. Fuel tank from an 89 suburban. A Th400 GM case. NP 205 twin-stick transfer case. Eton Trutrac front and rear diffs, Yukon front hubs, and I must say It was a great upgrade. Faster more reliable and parts are cheaper and easier to find at all local auto parts stores.

Good call on the ground strap. It has one currently, but it's in pretty bad shape. Your Jeep sounds like a beast!

Good Video! Keep them coming. Make sure you use multiple tags in each video so you reach a wider audience. Ex. fsj / wagoneer / cherokee / jeep / restoration for all videos and the. Some tags for the subject of the video like rewiring / wiring/ battery/ fuel tank etc You’ll get more views by reaching a wider audience

Take a look at black rhino armory wheels 20"s they would look great with the jeep ! Love what you two are doing ! Glad the young man is so enthusiastic about the project! These trucks are getting hard to find ! Yes they are trucks not SUVs!

Jeep's don't work like that. You can put 33, 35 or 37 inch tires on a stock rim.
@jamesbrede87004 жыл бұрын
@@stevealimorong yes I know if you read my comment, I said look at the 20" wheels I have 20" on my j20 pickup with 34" tires ! I never said anything about stock wheels ! And the need to be positive offset wheels it looks better on these old jeeps ! He has a 6 lug wheel mine is a 8 lug wheel because I'm 3/4 ton. I know all about wheels for these rigs !

Yes. Fuel tank has been restored, with a new sending unit and pickup tube. All new lines and a fresh electric fuel pump. Basically replaced everything but the carb. Hopefully we'll have a new Jeep video soon...

Nice Cherokee! I recently acquired a 78 Chief and she needs a good amount of work, especially electrical! Do you guys have any write-ups or walk-throughs to help a noob out? Thanks!!
@anticsgarage52304 жыл бұрын
Greetings fellow Chief owner! The best free resource I've found is oljeep.com. There are complete service manuals on there for many old Jeep models, and they're all free to download. The quality is a little sketchy on some of them, but it's still a great resource. Another thing to keep in mind when searching is to search for other models besides Cherokee. I found some great reference material by searching for J-truck and Wagoneer as well. They share pretty much the exact same electrical system. We're a little behind on posting on our website, but if we do any step-by-step write-ups, that's where we'll post them. Thanks for watching!
