This is an incredibly helpful video. I own a 1964 Wagoneer and a 1969 Gladiator and the weather strips are quite crispy.

Could you share how to retrofit weather-stripping for an early Wagoneer (1965) tailgate. It's a full rattlin' rigshaw right now and I would love to solve that.

I'm about to look for a whole kit for 1970 Jeep J3000 Kaiser Gladiator, same rules apply, just curious if when you got to the windshield, did you get that windshield weatherstrip in the kit, and if so, were you able to get the trim back on? I bought one from Jegs and didn't work, so I bought another really expensive one from them, supposedly better than factory, but looks like I will have same problem not getting trim back on, is BJ's designed to put the trim back on? I'll order the rest of kit if not, but don't want to waste more money on another if the same, thanks

hey craftone. All the rubber trim is the same for the windshields. (pretty much) putting the stainless trim back on is SUCH a PITA!! feeding a piece of automotive electrical wire in the groove that the trim slips into. use glass cleaner as lubricant and feed the lip of the Stainless into the slot and then pull out the wire. it takes two people to do it in my shop. Hope this helps!

HEY. Im working on replacing my door seals right now. For the Vent window, after reinstalled, The bottom seal of the vent window (where it touches the top of door)is making contact with the vent window which is causing it to hang up and peel the seal slightly from the top of the door. The vent window is also not wanting to close all the way without forcing it. Ive already jumped back and forth between both front doors re-doing these windows trying to get them right. Please advise.

I just replaced the door window lifter channel on my '84 cherokee, (BJ's part is top quality by the way - stainless steel) and could not for the life of me fit the retaining clip for the regulator arm. I tried blocking the arm with a piece of wood but could not force the clip over the end of the little shaft into the groove. I ended up using a different style of clip to retain it, but I'm not confident it will stay in place. has anyone who has done this job got a method for forcing the clip on? This is part that he says needs to be done by Braille.

so quick answer, there is no quick answer. they are hard to clip into place.. I use angle head lock jaw pliers that have a open "U" shape to them.. think they are welding vise grips? hope this helps. DREW
