Great video man. You sound like me when I'm working on my 78 cheyenne stepside. All the way down to the wobbly bucket I use to stand on lol.

Hello this video is interesting! Tks for making it! But i have an issue with the truck rn. I got fuel up to carburetor but wont start! Do you think the carb is clogged up?? Of course sat for two to three yrs. So new sending units were ordered while i cleaned tanks at home. Long story short getting fuel to carburetor but wont start up. Now i did a fuel clean out whatever old gas sat in mechanical pump i disconnected fuel line where paper filter is and cranked it pumping out old gas til new gas ca.e out. Connectint it back and trying again and nothing. Have u had this problem with this truck???? It 79 chevy c10 square body. Can u give an idea what it might be???

Make sure you have spark. If you have spark and it won’t start, dump a shot glass amount of gas down the throat of the carb when wide open throttle. After that, try and start it. Usually if there are no major problems, that will at least get the truck started on the fuel you dumped directly into the carb. Hope this helps.

Have you run into any issues running rubber line from the pump to the carb? I did the same when putting mine together, but have been concerned that it could vapor lock if it gets too hot
