Just picked up a 1980 with new tires last week. ($600) I always wanted one of these when I was a kid. It's at my Buddy's shop now for a new chain, oil change and brake adjustment. I have a Harley Ultra, but really wanted something smaller to run to the carryout and such. Looks like yours is in good shape. Enjoy!

Nice vid man! Which state is La Canada in? Your 250 looks great and brand new. I have a 125 XLS 1978 that I will offer to my dad for xmas, It's nice but I'd like some extra hp and so I'm looking for a 250 like yours. Hopefully I'll find it soon because your vid makes me want to ride!

Hey, do you ever get overheating issues with your bike?
@steamboatsig13 жыл бұрын
@heyhey1385 Yeah bro, post some pics! With respect to MPG, I am unsure. I haven't taken it very far so it is difficult to calculate. The interwebs are saying 76 mpg while cruising, 66 mpg while riding hard, and around 74 mpg around town.

is that 43 rear sprocket too small? i mean the top speed is coming with high rev?
@valium40165 жыл бұрын
Thats how mine runs too. They have long gears but it revs a bit to meet highspeeds. Other then that seems normal.

I think the 43t is perfect for street. If you go smaller than 43t in the back revs will go lower and your bike will lug. The engine is small and doesn't have the torque to pull a lower sprocket in the rear. The stock 52t rear worked well for me in the dirt and cruising around the streets, but at 55 mph it was rev'ing to the moon. The 43t is better, but again, the engine is too small to get it going much above 65mph.
