Yes, they call that European Light (when you are shooting car brochures etc). Glad you liked it 👍.

The Mercury Grand Marquis- now THAT is a killer car. Black with dark tinted windows... just too cool!! Nice one Mark. Cheers

Tony should put the black Mercury & the black F truck in the same garage as a matched pair of black Fords.

great job Mark interviewing Tony, we are so used to it being the other way around, it’s nice for a change, something different, you’re both doing a great job as the interviewer and the interviewee, thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great video. I think it is great that you Adam and Tony all know each other. It is nice you can share together and discuss cars. I like the 1975-1978 Mercury Grand Marquis better than the earlier ones. This era Grand Marquis is so close to a Lincoln in terms of features. You can see how Lincoln influenced this car too. You guys have so much knowledge about these cars as well. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much Olds 98. Much appreciated. I would like to have caught up with Adam but it didn’t happen. It was great to see Tony. He has such great knowledge, especially around all the electrical systems these cars used.

@@markbehr88 Tony does indeed know his stuff and it is interesting he can add options to a car and resolve those things that frustrate so many people. You have to appreciate this fact about him.

@@OLDS98 Yes and also customise his own cars to add the options he would have liked if ordering the car new. The power seats in the 1968 XL being a good example. I was unaware that was even an option in that model?

@@markbehr88 It is interesting how he added to not only that car but to the Grand Marquis. It looks so clean. He got non functioning windows to work among the other things he added. I admit I did that too. I swapped out the analog cluster in my Toronado and put the digital cluster in and swiped the headlight switch and took out the fog lamps.

@@OLDS98 yes the quarter window upgrade was a really good mod. Well done to you too on the Toro. 👍

Cool that Tony was able to add the functional rear windows after Ford made them "disfunctional". 😆👍

Classic not plastic, but some fibreglass! Love what he's done addressing those shortcomings. Adding to the opulence and having it so long as well is amazing. The Aussie ZK Fairlane did that thing with the lifting of the door handle. Looked incredible in on a darkened garage back in 83 when a solicitor neighbour got it new! I tried that on an LTD in a carpark once and set off 😬 the alarm.

Yes, our Fairlane, Ghia and LTD ones from XE were off the shelf US parts. Looked cool. The pushbutton door lock idea I am not so keen on. It’s on my 1981 Lincoln MKVI. 👍

@@markbehr88 you mean the row of buttons outside where you punch in a combination? I remember the Nissan Maxima from 1990 has those and it seemed state of the art only to learn years later it had existed years before on overseas cars.

@@jamesfrench7299 Yes. It came out on Lincolns for the 1980 model year (so Sept 1979). 👍
