You can never overstate the greatness or the impact of Mr. Marty Smith on the popularity, growth, and style on the sport of motocross.

Great to see so much of Steve Stackable. He and Too Tall Mike Bell were m6 favorites because I was tall too and Steve lived here in central Texas and rode at our tracks a lot.

Thank you for posting Lyndon Fox! I attended that race with a buddy from MI who had just turned pro and rode both classes. Burgett was unstoppable that day. The track was rough and the weather hot.

Remember those CARRERA goggles with the gaps in the bottom of the frames ? Not seen a pair in over fourty years.......let alone a KOHO Finn Fighter 707.

I don't even remember Stack on a Kawi. Come on Stack. You let Marty get away. And what was LaPorte's issue on the side of the track? Clutch lever loose?
@RIPPERTON6 күн бұрын
Stack lost his rear brakes, the stay arm broke.

The intensity was awesome I was feeling some of those big g out's in my kidneys I love the plush .modern day cartridge suspension & was surprised how fluid the fork movement was on the Honda but it would of still been hard Yakka for 30 mins back in those days lucky if the forks were 38 mm & look like steel bars on the Kawasaki.Fantastic videos thank you.

Wonderful footage!

The quality was much better than most videos from that era. It's too bad the speed wasn't matched correctly when posted.

I wish tracks were rough like that now. Now they're tilled and groomed to smooth highways with choice dirt mixed with sand,wood chips, mulch. No natural terrain anymore.

Real men ...riding over real terrain...these guys today would all be whining...with their groomed an smoothed over tracks...
