These weren’t actually Jonestown survivors; they never went. They were former Peoples Temple members and members of the Concerned Relatives group. The second lady was the ex wife of one of the Airstrip shooters: Tom Kice, and he and their son died in Jonestown. Edited to say: I’m not discounting the tragedy they endured, but these folks were survivors of Peoples Temple, not the Jonestown Massacre- in other words, they were not in imminent danger or near death or at any points within the confines of Jonestown on November 18. Survivors that meet that definition are Stanley Clayton, Hyacinth Thrash, Odell Rhodes, Tim and Mike Carter, Mike Prokes, Grover Davis, Mark Lane and Charles Garry, and those who survived the airstrip shooting and the 11 residents in the picnic group that escaped that morning, and the Cudjoe duo of Herbert Newell and Clifford Gieg.

They had to change their named legally to Jeannie & Al Mills, to make void anything they signed over to Jim Jones & The Peoples Temple. Co-founding Concerned Relatives of Peoples Temple Members for defectors this was the group that helped persuade Leo Ryan to travel to Guyana, 2 years later 3 members of the Mills/Mertle family are found murdered. The son Eddie became a suspect but denied the murders even though gun shot residue was found on his hands. Later arrested in 2005 but the DA declined to press charges and Eddie lives in Japan with his family.

Why didn't he do that? Because he's a liar who changed his story. He was not a little kid anymore by the time of the Massacre and often kept guard over Jonestown residents with a rifle-in-hand. Are we to believe that during his plane ride back from Jonestown to the States (directly after the Massacre occurred), Stephan suddenly found the "moral courage" or "moral duty" to FINALLY denounce his father publicly? US Green berets and UK British Blackwatch troops. An alternate theory to this massacre was that the USSR was building a ICBM missle bunker in socialist Guyana, and this was used as a cover so the world and more importantly the USSR would not figure out that the US and the UK sent special forces to Guyana to wipe out this missle base, until it was too late. Since Kennedy threw the missles out of Cuba, socialist Guyana was the next place the USSR was putting in a missle complex bunker. Jonestown did happen, but was used as a cover to destroy this missle base. A lot of reporters at the scene reported bodies were laying face down with drag marks emerging from the jungle to the body piles. Apparently 1/3 of these people escaped the jungle, only to be gunned down by US and UK special forces. I have researched Jonestown for 20 years, and find this ‘theory’ to be 50/50….
