I like to try remember these old games and years without looking them up, but didn’t Penn St and Alabama play for the national title in the Sugar Bowl this season?

Many future NFL stars into the 80s and 90s in this game.

Sean Farell Mike Muncheck and Irv Panky Pretty good OLINE Compared to the offensive line that we put on the field today.!!!

Typical Paterno offense. Slow, plodding, can't come back, passing game is archaic. Ugly to watch.

Well, that changed with Todd Blackledge.

@@davidheckman4188 Outside of Blackledge and Kerry Collins, most of their QBs were slow, plodding and limited. Allar might be an exception.

Hmm, then there was 94'. Arguably the greatest offense to play college football.
