Yep, the Miami DB who knocked the pass down had seen this on film.

Mike's career high for rushing in a single game with 285 yards, but far from his best game at Nebraska running the ball. I would say the 1982 game as a Junior when he ran for 251 and four scores against Oklahoma State was the finest performance of his career. It's worth finding those highlights if you can. Just some incredible runs. Especially when he scored on about an 8 or 9 yard run after getting hit very hard by the safety at around the 6 yard line. Mike hosted him up and carried him on his shoulders, drove that kid 5 yard deep in the endzone with a thud. It looked dang near Super Human! Will never forget that run. Don't see anyone with footage of it on KZbin or elsewhere.

I remember watching this live in 1983, and I was struck by the fact at 2:24 there wasn't even a single Kansas player on the screen as Rozier was running all by himself. I had never seen such an open-field run.

It's just too bad these weren't on film, they could have been converted to HD. It's hard to believe we watched quality this low for so long. I was at the '82 game in Lawrence, I think it was my first of many Nebraska games. GBR

The quality was never this bad. It's just that those old tapes don't look good on today's TV's. Totally different animal.

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!! We have lost all contact with those blurry guys with helmets on!!! This game looks like it was filmed with broken Rabbit Ears. That's probably how it must have looked to the Kansas team as well. I do love watching no pause games. Even in Low, Low, Lower resolution. Had this Nebraska team had a passable defense, they would have won the National Title like a One Horse Chariot Race. The greatest offense, the college game has ever seen. Or probably ever will.

Thanks again for another no huddle game. Was Nebraska that good, or was Kansas that bad?

Well, yes but with football Nebraska wins. But play basketball Kansas does win. July 20, 2021

@@timothyball7502 I haven't followed college hoops since the '70s, but Kansas has had some great teams.

Mediocre defense and terrible kicking game paired with a once in a lifetime talents on offense.

The same defense that led the nation in 1984 with everyone back with the exception of Brett Clark. Huskers were first in the total D. If you had the '84 offense who would have also been playing on a brand new field, not the terribly worn field they did play on in 1983, combined with the improved Defensive play. Just think of it.

Watching the way the offensive line gets off the ball, and the precision blocking downfield, so many things sorely missing on the field at Nebraska these days. Nebraska right now has terrible discipline and coaching. I don't dislike Scott Frost, but he needs to clean house on the coaching staff if he ever expects to get anything done in Lincoln, it's obvious after 3 seasons that it isn't working. The last three years have been the worst teams that Nebraska has had since before Devaney. I would say the first year you can attribute to the prior coach, after that you have to start looking at the current staff. This isn't about lack of talent when you look at just how badly outcoached Nebraska is right now.

Cant coach the baby ass kids today like you could back then.. too many boys that are raised by their mommy's and are not tough enough to handle discipline and coaching

@jackf9951 I think we've figured out that drunkard Frost was, in fact, the problem.
