I'm sure the build quality ain't stellar but damn, these were new on the road when my young automotive brain was waking up. I love these things. I can imagine a Singer-like restomod of the C3 , superb.

Miss having mine. I loved my C3 Vette. I bought it brand new and owned it until the mid '80s. I unfortunately had to sell it. Mine Vette was Black with red interior. It had the L82 Engine coupled to a 4-Speed Tranny.

This cannot be a 1979 L82 because the Tachometer redline starts at 5500 rpm. My new as ordered in 1979 L82 vett had the redline starting at 6300 rpm

Does yours have factory AC? This is stock… L-82 for 79. Be happy this was not a very late model or the Speedo would be a 1980 …85 MPH unit. I have the same car in silver, the tach and speedo are exactly the same as this one. I have factory AC.
