1979 - Donington GT's

A very short silent cine film from the 1979 Donington GT Championship, the early frames are from the up to 1500cc race and the rest from the over 1500cc race, not very good quality but worth a look. I had titled it as being 1979 and i do have a programme dated 15th April '79, so it could be right.

can confirm its april 15th 1979. Rare shot of the Richard Jenvey Polaroof Esprit starting at the back on its only Don GT outing of the year ahead of its international races. -+

I was there that day as a 14 year old lad.Watched from the Red Gate corner grandstand so was very close the camera location.Mick Hill's debut of his 7 litre Skoda.
