Great memories! I remember going to Brands and Thruxton as a boy from about 75 onwards, special saloons were always my favourite. I think no4 could be Colin Hawker in his DFVW, he had some tremendous battles with Nick Whiting in the All CarEquipe Ford Escort around this time. Thanks for posting !! 👍👍

I was in the pits with the Mini Se7en's With Terry Pudwells car and remember watching the miglia race. Alan Curnow and Steve Harris were quite spectacular then but the Se7en's were the ones to watch with the out breaking each other. The lead always changed

Also of interest among the numerous Escorts and Minis is the Janspeed Datsun - although I don't remember if it was a Cherry or a Sunny.

Good stuff, thanks for posting - touring car racing was badly served by mainstream TV, until they discovered what they were missing.

The A303 going passed, in the background. I remember people parking on the grass verge, next to the 303, watching the racing all day to, avoid buying tickets ! !

Four Imps qualified, 3 raced, 2 finished, Chris Roberts failed to start, Geoff Farmer retired, Adrian Gamble did finish in the white Imp, Cliff Watts was driving the very quick Wallinger Imp, which was actually dark green, hope that helps.

The orange and gray Agent Plant Hire Escort number 16 was being driven by my brother Chris Wray at Donington on 11th September 1977. It's the first time I've seen this car on KZbin.
