Wow!!!!! Absolutely stunning…. This was the car to have when I was growing up in the 70’s and I still love then today. My love for these cars started when my uncle bought a 1978 Ford Mexico in the same colour as this beauty…. Thank you for sharing

Call me old fashionned but a Pinto still gets me interested especially the 2000.You could bolt a weber and manifold on, buggar around with the cam etc.Non interference head. Just keep them well serviced with oil and filters.That car is probably better than when it left the line.Also nothing like pram springs at the back to make you drive one without the rear end going the wrong way.Love it.

Nice try but not very close. Custom painted back panel, fishnets and alloys like a custom, but no console or remote mirror which a custom should have. A half custom? Also should not have RS2000 decals on the side, they ended 08/76.
@brian31742 жыл бұрын
alloys came on both as option and rear panels are all black at tail lights your right about decals as it was broad striped early version non customs but was also a dealer option until 80

Non custom with a few custom parts, shouldn't have the decals on the rear panels though. If you are going for the best it should be correct. However, no denying the quality. Should do well I guess.

I had a T-reg RS2000 (sadly not a custom) and drove it for 5 years. Great fun, getting away from traffic lights in the wet could be troublesome if you were too quick on the throttle as those cart springs just bounced up and down, but the turn-in and general sportiness made it the best car I have ever owned. In its day you could burn off BMW's with ease!

@@alanashall9567 Thanks. We bought one of the last Mexicos (T Reg, it was 12 months old when we bought it)) back in the day. Gutless as anything, 1600 sports were faster. Upgraded the engine to 2.1, Kent cam, twin Dellorto 45's, lowered 1.5 inch, 205's (big in the day). Had it for five years. Sold it for much more than we paid for it (including the upgrades). Happy! Insurance contacted us later (for a value) , the boy racer who bought it rolled it and wrote it off. They are fun but £45000? That's absolutely ridiculous! All of them have been abused.
