1979 Suzuki PE250 Classic

Awesome! I got a great deal on a 79 PE250 in 1980 when the new style came out. Always started on the second kick cold and first warm. Rode it 2.8 bajillion miles. Felt guilty and put a piston in it and the old one looked fine. Just needed a slight hone and no bore. What a durable motorcycle that thing was. Chains and tires is all it ever needed.

I had the 79 PE175. Fun trail bike. Blew it up when air filter sucked sand. Bright side is I replaced it with 1983 CR125.

I think it was 1981 when I bought a used 1981 Suzuki PE175. I was going to buy a Suzuki RS175, but I think the PE was a better choice. It was a great dirt bike!

After seeing these videos on the OG Enduro’s now I want one. I think this might be one of the first type of bikes I get from you guys when I make my dream come true and actually buy a motorcycle from you guys. It might be an Enduro, but I will be looking out for og big bores or late 90s early 2000s250 2 strokes!!!!

You definitely won't ever have any regrets buying from Kaplan Cycles. A little over a year ago I bought a restored from the frame up 1985 Yamaha 2 stroke RZ 350 Kenny Rogers Edition Streetbike, to celebrate the life of my deceased Father, that owned multiple Kawasaki Triple 2 stroke streetbikes. Then, a little less than a year ago, I bought a 2022 GasGas 2 stroke MC 250 MX Dirtbike.Their delivery guy, James Waterman is a Former Marine, and a retired Connecticut State Trooper. James is the best. He delivered to me twice. He ties down each bike 3 times, to make sure they don't move in transit. He also then puts a thick moving blanket over each motorcycle, so none of the motorcycles get scratched in transit. You won't find better and more honest people to buy from. I live in Lousiana, and I refuse to do business with the many moyorcycle shops around me, because they all have terrible reputations being dishonest with customers, over charging them, and playing games with them. This is why I do business out of state, always buying from Kaplan Cycles. They have 5 perfect stars on Ebay, where they sell their auction moyorcycles. Those 5 perfect stars on Ebay are with hundreds and hundreds of reviews. I hope you are able to buy yourself a nice bike that you want. God Bless.

Great trail pinger, these bikes can take a serious beating, and i've seen them go for decades without having to change the rings. This is probably the best condition PE i've ever seen. Whoever restored it is on their restoration "A" game. That bike belongs in the museum.🔧

Nice torquey engine on this 79 , buddy had one back in the 70's & we would swap bikes at times & l loved it , would torque up hills easily & is just a enjoyable woods bike .

My granpa gifted me his 1978 Suzuki PE 250. It was his bestfriends bike, who had given it to my pa before he died of cancer. Cant wait to start working on it. Hopefully i can get it to run again.

I owned 2 1978 PE 250s ,bought both back in the day for 800 dollars a piece from different sellers ,face planted a tree on one ,couldn't let go of the handle bars and it took me for a ride .No need to discuss the multiple injuries but they did have some good power .

These PE 250's ran pretty good had good power for a 250, John Russell a Pro Boxer i grew up with from RockFalls,Illinois had one identical to this one, i believe was a 79 as well, he bought it new ... 👍

Great bike, I also owned a 1979 PE250...the swing arm should be black from the factory but still in perfect condition, likely the swingarm was just incorrectly painted or from the rare RS model.

I bought it used and the rear shocks were worn out but otherwise it was the perfect off road bike. I enjoyed it for a few years and never put anything in it but oil and gas and sold it for the $500 I bought it for.

I had that bike the pe250 I think I had the 76 I basically gave it away and I was on my Yamaha Maxim 650 doing 90 when the dude I sold it to came screaming by me like I was standing still no helmet it's definitely a desert bike

DS more of a play bike. Softer suspension. Lower state of tune. These were derived from the RM mx’ers.
