You said Cressida correctly the 1st time. 😁 My mom bought the brown one in '79 & passed it on to me when I turned 16. I hated it becuase the license plate said MEOW2U & everyone teased me and all it had was an 8 track player so I rocked Earth, Wind & Fire and the bEe Gees! I grew to love that car. My dad sold it in '96, broke my heart. I just saw one on the road today. The straight 6 was so powerful. This one is beautiful, if its available, I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Sweet looking car. I've always liked this generation Toyota Cressida. I'd prefer this over the Avalon any day. Front-wheel drive is fine for some cars, like the Mini Cooper or small cars. But for cars of this size, and with more people riding in it, rear-wheel drive is definitely the best way to go.

The Cressida actually evolved into the Avalon. It was simply a coincidence that they began making the lexus around the same time they stopped making the Cressida. I own a 1984 Luxury Wagon and have worked at Toyota for the last 10yrs

While the Cressida was still sold in some markets as new models well into the 2000's.... From Wikipedia: "The Mark X is the successor to the Mark II which was first introduced in 1968, was known in the North American market as the Corona Mark II starting in 1972 and the Cressida from 1977 to 1992 and was the predecessor to the introduction of Lexus."..

These are good-looking cars. My neighbor in Germany had one in "burgundy red" (?), which was a rare treat as literally nobody bought these back then here. I always liked the design of this particular Cressida generation. Toyota's best-looking cars were made in the late '60s and throughout the '70s in my opinion. After that their designs got boring.

@ 10:37, this engine is the last year that was offered; 1980 came the 5M, this is the same engine family that's in the 79, if you look carefully you can see the changes that were made when they went to 5M (GE) meaning injected, on this 4M and 5M where the Distributor is located, is the crankcase vent tube, and where the blank plate for the fuel pump location is the return tube located on the 5MGE, on the driver side of the Block right in between the engine mount.

Classic American used car salesman:"that's about it for dings"... OH! there is 6-10 more that should just pop out! "LIKE NEW" Gotta love these used car salesmen. The bad ones are too easy to see through. This dud can't even pronounce the model of the vehicle. All that said & by the end this guy is driving around in a parking lot with kids & people all around around, talking & holding a cell phone, talking and holding a camera in his hand while trying to sell a car.Very entertaining indeed, which is why I gave this video a thumbs up!

Well no shit sherlock, he's not going to call it a piece of shit while he's making a video to sell it. At least he goes over everything and makes a video unlike some of these lazy slubs that put up 1 picture and call it "Like new".

... and to think that some humans think their comments are respectively considered when using grade school swear words like yourself. Awe, I see, you feel a little hostility because of my original observation of the classic used car salesman? Do you need a warm loving hug little one? I love that you try and defend his actions like he is one of your own. We should clump all of you sub par humans into a Zoo for the majority to peer at! Its past your bed time now little one... i'm done with you now.
