How would you know it was resealed unless you were there and examined the pack? I bought lots of these 80’s packs at the corner store as a kid direct from the box and got a lot of sh@& cards.

Easy. Look at the way it was opened. Not only did he have to rip through the re -glue, but the corners were already folded out, and folded back in, there was no wax resistance. Also, the wax was on the wrong card and the gum looked like it was from another pack. I have never seen an unopened pack with curved cards, that's from after pack storage.

I have the entire 1980-81 O Pee Chee set. Fair condition. Sadly my mom threw out the full plastic shopping bag of my 1979-80 cards which included a few Gretzky rookies. Albeit in pretty rough condition for the most part.

I recently acquired a 1980 Wayne Gretzky OPC 2nd year - PSA 9 - but the back says printed by Topps. This is the first I ever seen like this. What are your thoughts on this?

That 81 looked searched but that's my opinion. There are no autographs in the 72 summet series but great ttm fuel. I'm an autograph and when I see cards I think "cool ttm fuel " lol. Great video

These cards look like they're from a recently uncut sheet. With the checklist card visible, it would've been much more economical to leave the puck unopened and possibly graded.

100 percent. I figured this was a one time deal. Definitely suspicious packs.

@@jd66cards It has been over twenty years since I opened a pack from this set. I remember a went to a dealership and bought a couple of packs as well as a couple of the 1981-82 set. The first pack I opened had back-to-back Oilers, Lee Fogolin and then, yep, number 99! The dealer put it in a sleeve and top-loader for me and said, 'That's a beautiful card!'. The centering was near-perfect. The second pack I opened included the Gretzky All-Star card. The thing in this video that made me immediately suspicious was the fact that any packs I've opened have always had the front of the cards turning slightly outwards or simply flat. I've never pulled cards that had the fronts turning inwards.

@@jd66cards The Gretzky sophomore card has a more clean-cut appearance than his rookie card. It also is one of the sharper cards among its set, which includes a number of grainy photos that are not of the best quality.

How do you fix the warpage?

I've heard just putting in a thick book for a few days. Also heard if you use a hair dryer to warm up the card before that works too. Have not tried it yet.
