I grew up on the hills looking over the bay. You could see the rooster tails from miles away and the sounds were glorious. The new turbine boats make an evil whine. The old Rolls Royce engine made deep throbbing pulses that echoed through the canyons and rolled over the mesas. As a kid I remember thinking that's what a squadron of Spitfires would sound like. They gotta dredge the bay. It's so shallow now someday a boats going to flip and end up stuck like a fork in a roast. It's making it choppier and more dangerous. San Diego Mission Bay- No Speed Limit (except for the no wake and 5 mph zones). Hard to believe. Got to get it while you can. Someday that will end too.
