Andy’s sixth and final U.S. Top 10 single was included in his last studio LP “After Dark.” The instrumental backing had been recorded in 1978 for a proposed Bee Gees LP track which was not released; and this later vocal session resulted in one of only two released songs to feature all four Gibb brothers (the other, Andy’s “Arrow Through The Heart,” would be issued posthumously in 2010).
Pop Chart Peaks: Billboard & Record World 4, Cash Box 6 - A/C Peak: 9 - R&B Peak: 49
Transferred from stereo 45 single RSO 1019 - Desire (B.-R.-M. Gibb) by Andy Gibb, produced by Barry Gibb, Karl Richardson & Albhy Galuten

Actually, Elvis' first nine 'new' regular-release RCA Victor singles all reached #1 during 1956-58 (that doesn't include the various reissues or album tracks which were also pressed onto the 7-inch format during that period).

.@@anotherprof3408 .I think it's the Billboard chart Billboard singles chart did not exist until 1958. On that chart Elvis had 7 #1 hits

Billboard singles charts actually made their first appearance in 1940 (then only a Top 10) and gradually expanded to 100 positions in November 1955 with the debut of the new 'Top 100' chart. It was renamed the 'Hot 100' in August 1958, reflecting some changes in the methodology. Over the past half-century, Joel Whitburn's extensively used 'Top Pop Singles' and 'Pop Annual' chart history reference books have covered all 100 titles from 1955 on. Here's also is a list of Elvis singles that might be interesting, including chart peaks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elvis_Presley_singles_discography Note that he also had five straight number-ones 1959-1961

This was meant to be on Spirits Having Flown. According to wikipedia, it's basically the same track with Andy's vocals. I would have dropped Until or Stop, Think again for this to have remain on Spirits Having Flown.

From the freezing cold American winter of 1980. Bad and peculiar year. What I didn't follow at the time was it was end of the old times adjoining the beginning of the brand new.

Ended the year at #58 on the Hot 100…….that album’s disappointing performance (#21 on the Billboard 200),along with Andy”s mounting drug & booze issues forced a reluctant Stigwood 2 drop him from the label!!

@@eddiecharlie77 Also "Me (Without You)" his last Top 40 song peaking at # 40 (1 week) on April 11, 1981. Also the duet with actress Victoria Principal remake of the Everly Brothers 1958 song "All I Have To Do Is Dream" released only as a 45 single peaking at # 51 in September of 1981 & that was it. Andy died of heart failure on March 10, 1988 at 30 years old.
