This is the 4th in a series of 7 videos showing the reassembly of the top end of a 1980 Honda ATC 110. I'll probably forget how to do this so I made this video in case I ever have to reassemble an ATC again. Now I'll have to remember not to lose this video. The set of videos are: (1) Piston and Rings, (2) Cylinder and Head, (3) Valve Timing and Valve Clearance, (4) Ignition Timing and Points Gap, (5) Final Assembly, (6) Oil Change and Clean Oil Filters, and (7) First Start. I spent a lot of time learning this material. So I hope I can help some of you who are beginners like me and save you some time looking for this information.

Thank You so much for this how to clip. ive been struggling to get my trike running correctly for ages, this weekend I will be having another go now I no how to repair the old girl properly. A massive thanks for your time

excellent video used part 3 and 4 to fix my atc. it had low compression because of timing so thank you for sharing the timing and ignition process !

That ignition housing has a rubber seal in the center of it. Any idea what the part number is for that seal?

I have 1979 atc110. I had what I thought was chain slap when riding from the timing chain. Upon disassembly chain is good with plenty of adjustment left but there a groove worn in the end of the camshaft between the 2 bolts. I'm wondering if maybe the timing chain wasn't actually on the center guide but on the outside of it, causing the cam to slide out and rub the back of the inner points cover as well as the chain rubbing the case inside. Do you think what I'm talking about is even feasible?

I have. 110 Cc honda new rings. Head and piston. Now when i set my timeing marks i can't get it started. It back. Fires

So you want the gap on your points open or closed when your on your compression stroke?

Looking at the left side of the engine, it turns counter-clockwise. So the "F" mark in the rotor will pass the timing mark on the cylinder head before the "T" mark. The points are normally closed. As the engine turns and the "F" mark reaches the timing mark on the head (on the compression stroke), the points will just start to open and will fire the spark plug.

A Bruce how do I deturmin which head is which from a 90 and 110

I can't tell you the differences. I just checked the part numbers and the CT110 cylinder head seems to fit all years of the CT110 and the 1984 ATC125m. Some of the CT90 cylinder heads fit the CT90s and the ATC90s and ATC110s.
