1980 lebaron

I have a 1980 Chrysler LeBaron. I am the second owner. I bought it from the original owner which was a lady. I have the original title from her when she bought it in 1980. Also i have a new clear title in my name. The car is in great shape for its age. She had it in the garage and now i have it under a fully covered carport. It runs and drives great. It rides very nice, its extremely comfortable. The car is all original. There is absolutely zero rust on this car. It is a Texas car and its been here all its life. The AC does blow cold. Everything works on the car from the auto locks to the antenna going up and down when you put the radio on. I would love to see a collector get this car because of the originality and the shape its in for its age . You cant find them like this anymore. It does have current registration. It really is a pretty neat looking car.

1987 we had this car. I installed a new carb.it had the 318 engine. Our seats were tan leather. 1989 it was my ride to school. We put a loud stereo system. I miss it.

Back in 1986 I had the same mdel , my was a yellow-tan color , nice running car . To me it was a little bit lower class New Yorker , really clean nice running car but I sold before returning to Germany . I now wish that I had kept that car but it is what it is ! You have a nice car . Take care of it .

Bought mine brand new in 1980 same colour in Vancouver Canada. at two weeks old i drove it from Vancouver over the border and down the whole west coast USA into Mexico then returned through the midwest USA back to Canada ...it was a 3 week trip stopping at loads of places and was the best road trip ever,wish i had kept it as it was a great car...seeing it on here brings back a lot of good memories👍 BTW great find.

I use to have a 1981 just like that, it was white with a burgundy top and interior, beautiful car, perfect shape, then I had to sell it because I had too many vehicles and I needed my trucks for work, so I had no choice, then the guy who bought it traded it in on the cash for clunkers program. I went to the dealer to try to get it back but they had already seized up the engine with that solution that they used to destroy engines with on clunkers.

I had a 1980 LeBaron two door with a half vinyl top chocolate brown with metallic paint in Spoke chrome wire wheels I did research on it awhile back the only made 2000 in the two doors which now makes it very rare and very expensive now to find one even one not running with no engine in it is worth $5,000

Thanks for sharing this video Jason. Such beautiful condition. Kudos to the former owner as well. My dad bought a LeBaron in 1980. Mopar in peril. Wild variations in paint hue and thickness. Nice leather, but is the back part vinyl? Back door had a window crank bolted next to the pw switch. Venerable too, my brother drove it thru 4 years of college. I encouraged him to remove the back seat and install a waterbed. Thanks for letting me share. .

Is this top convertible or solid top? I want to buy the same one a 1982 2 doors for 4000$ with 30k miles on it, it has a leather top, Im just not sure if its a hard top or its convertible.

It is a hard top. Not sure they made a convertible in this particular style. Seems like a good deal.

Your pointing out the blatant obvious there Elton. Did you even live in this era or are you basing things on what you have heard? Early aspens had issues, but not in 1980. It was as bullet proof as you could get. The 5.2 318 was a heck of motor no matter what it was in. The torque flight tranny's were also rock solid and reliable as an automatic could get! Things are always relative to the time in which you lived, look at this car, it's basically as it was back in 1980 and yet it's still going just fine! Maybe crude in function by today's standards but they all where then! You could not get a car from Japan equipped like this in those days, they were also crude econoboxes which was their intent at that time! You wanted affordable luxury from the big three this is what you bought. People had different tastes they didn't buy a car based on performances, if you wanted that bought that car instead. You wanted luxury you bought this!

Thanks. Mostly just the inside. But thanks for what u do! I learned something. I thought that Lebanon only came as a coupe and a family friend had when I was little. Looks stunning. The 5th Avenue was a tad more luxurious. But the Lebanon was more luxurious than the diplomat. I miss these cars! What’s out now. Blahhhh!
