Hey did rap battles ever ended in a fight like these days? I always wondered about that what happened to now a rap battle could in to a shootout or someone getting ko 'd ? The 80s looked like so much fun and so colorful.
@thrashefe35234 жыл бұрын
2000s and early 2010s were last years of rap battles (except usa and rich european countries, they were already changed their style but other countries did later) during the mid-2010s rappers began to look more impressive (for most people, not me tho) and they hadn't got nice voices they didn't care about having a nice voice for rap they had autotune ... so now all the rappers use autotune and most of them don't write lyrics themself so they're not able to do rap battles since early 2010s
@olol90842 жыл бұрын
I mean of course. People fight in any situation. Young generation then had beefs between individuals, beefs between neighborhoods, gangs, etc just like any other time in history. You mix tossing back insults, and fights are bound to happen sometimes. Some of the legends never made it out the 80s due to violence.

Ok in those days the streets and gangs werent connected to hip-hop yet, gang members didnt rap and rappers were not seen as tough guys in the hood, those 2 worlds hadnt mixed yet so rap was being used by former street dudes to get out and teach the youth...it wasnt until NWA and Death Row that gangs become trendy and rappers started wanting to bang and eventually once chicago drill became popular in 2012...gang members wanted to rap more and talkin about dead opps/rivals became trendy so now rap is used by gangs to send threats over songs because drill music has become profitable to rich white executives...Nowadays the streets and rap are so tied together

Gather around kiddos for a fun fact. This was supposed to be an actual "rap battle". Where the groups were going to "dis"-respect each other. But, according to Kool Moe Dee; Jam Master Jay asked him (KMD) to take it easy on Run. Because Run was no where near as lyrical as Moe Dee. So instead of a head-to-head ⏸️ battle; you got both pair just rhyming. #Facts.

Lols the guy in the background wearing that white safari hat thinking he is all cool ....had me in tears wearing a safari hat and a heap of chains round his neck lols Mind u this was around the time people were wearing shoulder pads &and huge perms lols and affros that were so big that they couldn't fit in a car with a roof and a comb stuck in the hair at the top .... Fluoro tiedye shirts and hypercolour t shirts that change colours with heat and Cold I had a purple and green one that never quite worked rite having green armpits and bit on my back and the rest purple wasn't a great look bit was what was worm high top sneakers wearing a walkman and skating to the local milk bar for some hot chips and chicken salt and everyone skating around the local school or winery that we make into a skatepark and was the hang out place for us all b4 mobile phones we had to use our imaginations to have fun and it was a great time to be alive ,kids have it to easy now days and don't even have their own imaginations they rely on Google so much to tell and answer everything for them that they don't have to even think for themselves ots all about the likes from complete random strangers now days. We didn't give a crap what anyone thought and just had fun we used our imaginations and had alot of fun when we were kids camping playing cricket soccer or footy or even making up games building cubby houses and forts to hang out in read comics and generally let off some steam have some fun ,kids don't even go play much sports or have a run or kick q ball around at tge local fields they hardly get used except for organised sports I just don't see groups of kids hanging out having fun there all sat with their heads down on mobiles it's sad that their generation has lost out on so much cause of mobiles and Google making it all 2 easy they don't need to learn things now days just ask Google Soz for the novel didn't realise I'd wrote so much but the 80's early 90's now feels like it was soooo long ago such a great time to be alive though everything was new and we were re all free having alot of fun each day till the streetlights came on
