Keep saving the pennies my friend .. that's what I'm doing anyway so I can one day make my dream a reality (again) I was so foolish to part company with any of my Capris in the past I am so gutted I took them for granted back then when there were more about. I'm still driving a Ford though a 20 year old Mrk 4 Facelift 1.3 Fiesta (Silver) it's only 60 bhp on paper but it is so light it's very quick off the mark ..people try to "race" me at the lights and it's fun - one thing the "E" cars don't have is that lovely exhaust note a petrol engine has ..cars are far too quiet anyway (new ones) I like to hear the purr or the grunt of an engine -Capris all have a nice sound no matter what engine they have.

That's by far the best 30 S I've seen in a very long time and it's the right colour brings back a lot of memories for me I spent a lot of time and money on mine I also had a 30 S loved it.that should be on a turntable in a showroom 👍

I already have still images of this car in my computer because it is the exact "type" of car I built in California in 1984. Virtually a perfect clone. I started with a 1976 Capri Le Cat Black which of course was left hand drive and 2.8 L Cologne built car. Added every go-fast part I could find ... Offy manifold, 4bbl Holley 390, ported heads, headers with 2.125 pipes back to Ansa dual tips out the back. Metal cam gear drive, Caster camber kits, Bilstein Shocks front and rear, Mono leaf lowering spring and coils, High end black paint job, imported 3.0S decals all around. Interior was re-upholstered with matching cloth to the 1985 SVO Mustang including headliner. Wheels were ATE which I repainted gold/polished while working at Jongbloed Modular Wheels. So aside from gold wheels and silver-grey trim around the windows, it looked just like this car which is what I was going for. Most Californians had never seen a right hand drive Capri 3.0S but occasionally I'd get "how much did it cost to import that"? I was in a car club and won best paint at a local show. I also Drag raced it regularly at Carlsbad raceway. High 13's on street tires and a best of 13.21 on road racing slicks with the massive heavy USA 5mph bumpers removed. I didn't know there was a 2-2bbl manifold for the 3.0 ... likely because I have only seen pictures of them lol. Beautiful car and I am very jealous!

I had 3 Capris in my late teens/early twenties. A Blue/grey 2 tone 1.6 Cabaret. A white 2litre Laser. And my favourite was my Nimbus grey B plate 2.0S with a 5 speed box....... and I fkin loved it. It's the only car I've attempted to modify in any way. I went the usual route on a teenager's wages in the early 90s lol. A peco exhaust. K&N filter. Lowered 2 inches with RS 4 spokes and 205s all round.

That's gorgeous so immaculate I had the pleasure of seeing this car in the flesh at the Brooklands museum 50th Capri anniversary show. That car would be amazing to own but I don't think I could drive it that often. I heard that the last 3.0 Capris off the line were Ghia's all in the same colour.

I owned a mint condition 3.0 ghia automatic 1981 on a w plate - polar white in colour though , must have been one of the last before the 2.8’s started

Crikey, has that been kept in a vacuum sealed room ? I had a 1980 3.0S and by 1986 the rust was eating into the inside of the drivers door on top of the upper hinge.

Great example...mine was a '79 t reg... have you checked for the original build sheet from the factory it will tell you the exact time day month year it was on the production line...

Stunning looking car, I was a very happy owner of several capri's in my younger days , ranging from 1.6 to 20.s and 3.0. And 5 or six 2.8, the problem with this one is, it sits to high the decals on the sides are wrong the engine was never yellow the seats are the wrong colour to be genuine fishnet, yes it's stunning but not original

Really lovely job. Only criticism is it appears to be sitting a little too high for a 3.0S.They always drive much better when run on lowered & 30% uprated front springs with de-cambered rear leaf springs.
