Sharp Cabover Box Truck. Very rare to even find any. Awesome rigs. Put the stacks behind the cab. Might make it's stance turn out better

sorry for the late response, still figuring KZbin out! Thought I was pretty lucky to run across the truck & trailer and to be a matching set was a bonus, I thought about putting the cutout in the cab so I could have dual recessed stacks, but will see! stay tuned and thanks for watching!!

I always thought those van truck & trailers & doubles looked cool when I was a kid. My dad had a couple friends that worked for Post. They had their doubles lit up nicely.

agreed, I haven't heard the name Post in a long time, growing up on the westside seen their trucks everywhere, they ran their vans and flatbeds, good times and great memories

That belonged to Bob that iwned Trident Trucking that used to be in Hayward, California and then they moved to Gustine California Bob passed away before the wife and kid sold off everything.

always wondered what the history on the truck was, all I knew was it bought new by West Coast Trucklines then sold to Trident, then has been sitting for 20+, Thanks for the info!

@WestCoastFreightshakers4GFarms Trident had mostly Kenworth and Peterbilt Conventionals Bob was pretty good friends with Teresi Trucking out of Lodi California so Bob had some of Teresi's old Conventionals. I started driving truck for Teresi when i graduated from high school 1981 but i was raised around T&T Trucking Lodi California and Teresi Trucking from around 1970 when my dad went to work for Teresi with his own truck running back and forth to Los Angeles. I'm disabled now and i can't handle not being able to work driving truck. I planned on driving truck clear past retirement age. But the things that i hear from good friends of mine that are still out on the road tell me that i'm lucky to not have to be out on the road anymore because of the steering wheel holders that have no business in a truck. But i watch KZbin videos of the trucks from the good old days when trucking was fun and it paid well also. To this day I kick myself in my backside for not taking my dad's 1978 Peterbilt Cabover when i graduated from high school because it didn't have enough legroom for me but I found out later that it was just the seat in it and when i let the air out of the seat i had plenty of leg room. I drove Cabovers mostly up until i started pulling tank hauling molten sulfur with my dad swapping seats when I would get in the yard and fueling the truck my dad would get in the truck and go haul loads of Molten Sulfur. We kept the truck going 24/7 on my days off there was a guy that would work on my days off and then he would cover for my dad on his days off. You can't even tell that i miss working can you 🤣

oh Teresi had a lot of great trucks over the years, i actually owned an 94 FLB that was one of theirs, well-kept and no rust, up here in the NW we deal a lot with the passes, so things have a tendency to rust quicker, so if you're lucky enough to find a California truck its nice! Trucking definitely is not what it used to be, automatics and no one really needs to be a full-blown trucker anymore. Sory to hear your out of driving, that's a tough one. Hopefully you'll enjoy my channel, lots planned for it, with the restoration on the Trident T&T back to its glory years, then I'll be working on my green one for restoration, on that one I may put an Alloy box back on it, not sure yet. then I've got some friends Ill be having on the channel with old school cabover T&Ts also. stay tuned!! and will chat later .
