1981 Honda Goldwing GL1100 Bike Project -Part 1

Great project bike, I rebuilt an 81’ GL1100. Runs like a champ, love my Goldwing. I found that a wet balled up tinfoil removes rust off of the chrome without scratching it. I didn’t have any problems finding gaskets and things. The Chemical Guys make a Heavy Metal Polish that made my engine look new again. Have fun, do it right and she won’t let you down….👍

I have a 1980 and I’ve found parts for everything I needed so far, I joined the naked goldwing forum and there’s everything you need on there, information, cross over parts ,people that do carb overhauls just everything, good luck, I’m fighting with brake issues now

Good luck, I found it impossible to even find gaskets for it. All the joints leaked gas.

Thanks! I’ve got the carbs out right now. I don’t have any leaks(yet) so I’m hoping to clean them up and they’ll be more useable. Time will tell.
