I had a transparent red stain Kramer Voyager that I purchased by washing alot of dishes back in '81. It was my pride and joy for a few years until it was stolen in Dallas, Texas along with my '66 Fender Strat. I still dream of finding them again. People suck. Anyways, thanks for the awesome video! I am currently building a parts guitar star, single hum, with era "correct" parts and having fun doing it. It will also be a transparent red stain finish with a Fender Strat headstock using Mighty-Mite and DiMarzio components. Thanks for the inspiration!! Rock on!!

Dude… I’ve only been watching you on PMTV for a short time. Maybe a year? But you have absolutely inspired me to buy a Kramer. Not a pacer, not the explorer… I think I’m headed for the Striker. Awesome to know you have your own channel!! Rock on!

I had exactly the same guitar. Got it in the early 90s and played it till it fell apart. Miss it very much

i agree - it's a break through instrument- along with your playing and superb amp settings, the pick-up is half the magic- Is that the Schaller Golden 50?

Man, that thing is ace! It's like a Les Paul Junior for shredders!! - that made more sense in my head than it does reading it back! 😂👍😊

Okay, so I’ve got a pretty important question here. I’m searching for any information on this Kramer guitar that I can find, and thankfully I came across this video, beyond cool. My question is the input jack, and what your, and anyone else’s opinion is on what my situation is- I am in the process of repairing my friends 1981 Kramer Voyager, this exact guitar but with a gold (I think) lightning bolt. Another “friend” of his, no it was not me, had a straight plug cord plugged into it and stepped on the cord, ripping the jack and a lot of wood with right off the guitar, add to that a worn spot that literally has worn through the paint and worn away the wood cutting into the lightning bolt up where your arm would rest. In researching this guitar I have found in the coming years that the input jack was moved to where it is traditionally known to be on a star body. Should I move it to avoid anybody making this mistake again once I return the finished guitar? Or should I restore it to its original spot? Normally I would NEVER alter anything in such a fashion, however this just seems like an opportunity to fix kind of a design flaw that they obviously realized later. Please let me know your thoughts on this. I’m torn between my traditionalist feelings on vintage guitars and my desire to make the guitar a lot better. Thank you. Great video, and as it’s been said below this comment, great playing. It’s good to hear somebody just ripping away like this, I love it!!

Hey Barry, sorry for the late reply on this! It missed my radar. Before I throw in my 2 cents, which solution did you choose? - Also bravo for tackling such a task like that!

Is that a striker sitting in the floor. All I can see is the head. Anyway, I have a striker 600 from like 84/85 and I love it. I had a guitar “friend” teacher tell me it was cheap. lol maybe so but I didn’t bash his Stratocaster.

I had to laugh about not being able to reach the tone because I actually clipped the tone knob out of the circuit in my 82 voyager. You can turn it.. it doesn't do anything, but you can if you want to.

I’ve been wondering for ages what mods you have done to the Floyd rose on your white Pacer. The saddles look like a copper colour and the base plate looks like a Matt silver. Floyd rose parts and upgrades are not the easiest to find in the UK. Love the voyager, I saw it in a PMT video. I’m a big Kramer fan and happily own several 😎

I have the same model Kramer Voyager, B series, cherry sunburst, Fender maple headstock, a small toggle switch is between the knobs, brass nut/brass string guide. My guitar has some small differences, and I want to know more about it. It has a number on the back plate, B0644. Thank you.
