That was a great Newtown side. Nearly won the grand final as well, but were eventually overrun by a Parramatta side that had practically the entire Australian backline. Moose was a one-eyed Many supporter, so he'd never admit that Eadie's heel might have touched the line in the disallowed try.

Warren 'Wok' Ryan, one of the Cronulla Sharks originals. I used to see him all the time in the Pagewood Hotel, knocking back a 'sherbert' after work. I don't know where he is these days. Very laid back guy. Anyone older than 65 yrs who remembers who the other panelists are? Edit: and Eadie's foot was on the line Rex (one eye white, one eye maroon).

When I was a young man about twenty five years ago I was really drunk in a bar and saw Wok so I approached him ..I was loud and probably annoying but he was such a gentleman and we had a chat about Rugba League
