I only had the Black lion plastic one growing up. I was born in 81 so I was very young then. I do remember seeing the original popy one but never was able to get it.

I had the complete original plastic version, the best one, but was a little jealous my friend Nathan had the all metal version, Voltron was so cool when I was a kid, Ty for posting

How tall was the metal one? What brand?

@@Maidoumurnot I’m not sure what brand but it maybe 10 or 11 inches tall , the cats were pretty small but very detailed, the plastic one I had had the legs that only folded on the body with the clear lids and action figuresI believe his small one had action figures also

The cartoon has the yellow lion in the left leg position. And red was the right arm. Just fyi.

I don't think 1981 GB-36 came with a sword - I really don't think I would have lost it ... was it sold separately ?

Hate to tell you the bad news that black lion is modified badly ...that the sides are not sealed ...remember you have gb-36....then y&k ,golion,lionbot,jaguarbot and other Chinese knock offs ... the black lion are all different moldingvon the insides . Just tells me they did it wrong to refurbish it ....also rhe belt doesn't match his ear color....has like a mustard yellow color ...

Lol yeah I modified it. I have 2 but the other one is bad and had to combine the 2 just to have this one somewhat complete 🤷‍♂️
