Looks great. Someone took the vinyl top off at one point. Those aren't painted in that way. I have a 1985 that I love. You dont see them too often with a perfect dash top like that. That means it didnt sit in the sun very much.

I have 2 caprice…..a ‘88 caprice classic since 2003….and a ‘91 caprice classic as daily driver……the best GM Car in mass production ever made…….very nice this ‘82

Wonder Why? the front springs needed replacement @ 50,000 miles? Maybe im missing something but I never replaced any GM springs in my numerous cars with more miles. And it's a small block V8 which is not as heavy as the big blocks right?

That's the same thing I said and it compromises the stance and look of the car. Also, it may have never been driven in the winter, but it's hasn't been garage kept.

I wonder that too. My 1985 and my 1981 Bonneville both have their factory front springs. Both have around 130,000 miles on them.I have helper springs in the back on both.

had a 79 Pontiac Catalina, have an 83 Caprice Classic now...antique tag and all...the kids at the elementary school i work at think its the coolest thing ever. 5.0 4bbl, tore off the catalitic converter turbo muffler....sounds like a beast, loud and mean looking with battle scars to boot (barb wire fence, dont ask). falling apart at the seams, still running, just like me. wife hates it. sorry not sorry hon.

mine had the wire hubcaps Auto PS/PB AM/FM cassette tilt wheel cruise control rear window defrost power mirrors power locks/windows dual power seats and electronic moon roof and mine had the CL interior package and mine had the 5.7L 350 CID V-8 was an option for 1982. Mine had a white top and whitewall tires and heavy duty suspension as well and the sticker was 10900 new. My A/C was ice cold too. Sold it to a friend for 2500.00 in 1995

I was surprised to hear a chime when you started up this 1982 Caprice especially since virtually all 1981-95 Caprice Classics that are still around don't have it working anymore. I thought all Chevys still used a scary buzzer until at least 1984.

Bought my 87 caprice classic at 18 was one of my dream cars she’s got 49,000 miles no rust and yes it still chimes

Yep, the Caprice Classic has had either chimes or the flute-like tone since '81. The Impala stuck with a buzzer, though I HAVE heard a few '85's with the flute-like tone, so maybe it became available around '83-'84.

@@landyachtfan79 honestly I’m sure it was a option to have the chime as weird as it is my dads gotta 90 brougham and it still has the buzzer so does my 88 Monte Carlo or maybe it varies on the plants the cars were built at
