The 300 display at the top is the batting average of the hitter currently at the plate. Had one of these as a kid. Many hours spent playing.

I had this game and I kept a notebook of my starting players and wrote down their stats and everything. I would lay out my baseball cards as a “visual” for my starting line ups. PS... yes, I was a nerd
@monkeyb18202 жыл бұрын
durn, I thought we were the only ones that did that. We'd lay out baseball cards on the rug while playing intellivision baseball. It really brought it to life!

Those sounds took me back to being 10 years old. We would go to KC Royals games and i would play this in the car on the way there.

Core memory unlocked. I played this a lot while my dad would listen to Blue Jays games and drink Labatt's Blue. I miss you, Dad. 😔

My grandfather had one and I used to play it a lot. I think it drove him nuts a few times.

These games were advanced for their time. I had a lot of fun with these games. Before these games came to be, I used to sit on the rug of my living room with a small branch stick, and a roll of aluminum foil rolled into a small ball, a bit bigger than a "BB". And play baseball with myself after laying out a playing field (with lines), with a home run fence and all. I used to keep scores, batting averages, home runs for each playing and current standing with two conferences and two or four divisions in each conferences. This game did all that for me, AWESOME! Yeah the "300" means the batting average for the current playing, the higher the average the more likely you'd get a hit obviously so it changed the strategy of your game play, when to steal or not steal or use the "Power" button or not. Great game!

Had this game as a kid. Always an Expos fan. Could not deal with the move to Washington however so I became a Red Sox fan at that point. Bring back the Expos!!!!

amazing man. great memories. and when you said you grew up listening to the expos on the radio, i almost cried. what are the odds?? i too am from Montreal and grew up a big expos fan and also used to hear them on the radio every game. i loved my expos. but how come you listened to Jacques Doucet and not Dave and Duke? you sound english, so this shocked me. My dad used to listen to Doucet, then i'd change it to Dave van Horne and duke snider and we'd listen together. Great memories of Nos Amours and the good old days. thanks for the vid. you brought me back to my happy time.

@CdnGamer The mfg was "Pulsonic"! Just found out. They mfgd a brown console and then a "Pulsonic II" with the larger beige grandstand around the display field surface. Not as bought as coleco obviously, but my Dad probably had one of the sole surviving examples.

I owned this game back in 82. The .300 was the batters average. Couldn't play 1 player? That's what was kinda lame about it.
