Here we have a jam session on "Summertime" with several luminaries joining in: Dizzy Gillespie & Jon Faddis on trumpet, Stan Getz on tenor saxophone, Diane Schuur on vocals and Itzhak Perlman (who was the master of ceremonies) on violin.
For Roy Haynes' 85th birthday celebration in New York City in 2010 the world-famous Blue Note club had Chick Corea as the special Saturday night guest, i.e, 28 years after the video you're watching. Thank you. I see her name deep in the third paragraph. I got disgusted at her name's absence before I got that far. Nancy Reagan and many famous man names came first. But ok, if it is more important to attract attention, I get it. But, when this video floats around facebook, we are attracted to her.

@@piustwelfth It's a song from 'Porgy & Bess', a musical about slavery, Einstein. If you don't get the irony of that song performed during a celebration put on by a repub administration, then you've just been sleepwalking your way through life in America.
