I always liked his favorite quote from Walter Lippman, "the bewildered herd"... I don't follow all the policy choices of Pelosi (or most others) but I would say that equation is not accurate, because Chomsky wholeheartedly tries to be equitable while most politicians are exactly that: politicians. But in this world where might makes right playing the role of a do-gooder bent on fairness may be indeed a death sentence. So he wouldn't survive as a politician, and the lone nation that plays fair in a cheating game would lose.
