pimp mobile, what a BAD ASS car. My asst manager at burger king in 85 had a blue one. I was so phucking jealous of him.

Wow! My dad had one of these. My parents split up and he gave my mom the car. Soon after the transmission went out and she couldn't afford to get it fixed. Sadly the car sat for over 25 years. I think she still hasd it out in the country in her brother's yard. Family members have taken parts off it though. Such a Shane... It was a really nice car.

Perhaps if Iacocca had put some emphasis on these cars, they would have lasted longer with newer generations. The mid 80's T-bird and the Grand National would have had some serious competition!

These cars had constant electrical issues when new. Also lean burn issues. They were prone to rust as well. I know this from working at a Dodge dealer back then. Chrysler was having so many financial issues back then they really struggled to keep up with the competition. The wiper linkage bushings are available at your local auto parts store. The wiper transmission though is very hard to fine. Discontinued by Chrysler over 20 years ago, and about impossible to fined at a wrecking yard and are not available aftermarket. Good luck if you need one.

Lean burn is evil. This car had it deleted.

Dude, funny story about that stupid place... there was a dealer called Mad City Mitsubishi that played the same kind of annoying commercials. They committed fraud and the DMV fined them and closed them down... not sure of all the logistics but the two owners of the place basically had to sell it to someone else (Kunes Country bought it... ugh) and lo and behold those two guys are the guys running that Grodi place now with the same garbage commercials that everyone hated when they ran Mad City.

They didn't sell too well. Back when it was new gas got expensive and front drive vehicles with smaller engines took over. I have a 1981 Reliant K wagon that was the replacement for these types of car back in the day and it drives almost as nice with way less fuel consumption.
