There's something very uplifting and reassuring about the music and the narrator's voice. He manages to make a car lacking an FM radio sound well-equipped even though that was rather spartan for 1982.

I truly loved the Ford Granada. Had 1976 four door Red, 1980 top of the model in Blue. Both were fine cars.

We Ordered one from the Factory. 2 Tone Green sedan with the 3.3 liter engine. Very Reliable car but slow engine. I think the 3.8 V6 would have been better. Still a great car.

My fahter bought one the year before I was born and later gave it to my older brothers who upgrated the stereo with a cd player in 89. Every time I see that car the only thing I remember is a bunch of hair rock and pop music from the time while riding in the blue vinyl back seat.

We had one as a hire car back in 1981, which looked almost identical to this, apart from a different front grille. The car was comfortable and roomy, with a front bench seat, and we toured around the South West of America in it, with 100% reliability. We must of had the base model because it had vinyl seats, which got hot when left out in the sun. Otherwise, a good looking, roomy, reliable car.

👍👍🥴🥴😎😎 All good Brother! I need to raise $2,500 to $4,200 to overhaul and beef up my 3.3 liter... or get a Fox Body 3.3L, 3.8L 6 banger. My mechanic in Gatesville will help me out, beefing up the engine. I don’t want to go the credit card but I’m out of options. I live in Texas and not sure if car-parts.com could help? I have no truck and trailer to do it myself. I’m putting in for time off to work something out. Thank you!!

I heard Ford was going to name the yet to be introduced Taurus as the "Granada" , but market research said the name had bad name recognition ... but Ford did use it for the car we know as the Merkur Scorpio, albeit in Europe ...

1982 was the last year for the Granada, in 1983 the Granada would end up being the mid size Ford LTD and the Mercury Marquis, the styling was very apparent on the Station Wagon models and those cars would be around til 1986. Then those two models were replaced by the all new ford Taurus and Mercury Sable

It sold well, but in hindsight it seemed simply a bridge until the reshaped Ford company courtesy of the 1985 Taurus.

I’ve always thought it was funny how the slapped the ass end of the Fairmont station wagon onto so many different models and never even changed the taillights much less anything else.

lum otaku you are correct, the old 255 Windsor V8. The good engine to get back than was the 3.8 Liter Essex V6. That was a sweet engine. Reliable and had very good torque.
