What a classy Lady Walt Disney's wife was! I love this. My husbands father looked just like Walt Disney and I look like his granddaughter! But I love this because it has the women in the family.... "behind every great man...." and YES! Lillian is just like Grandmother was!!!!

Wonderful interview! It is so important for the sake of Disney History that Walt's original dreams be kept alive. We were at Disneyland on May 11-13, 2015 (to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary) and it just seemed like the younger people were enjoying Disneyland but had no idea of what it really represented. Sad to think that they might not even know who Walt Disney was! Now that both daughters, Diane and Sharon, are gone it is even more important to keep the Disney spirit going.

I think if Walt saw what has become of his company and saw the parks today with their exorbitant out-of-control prices, he'd roll over in his grave and vomit.

Shame there are no longer any living Disney's that have a say in the company or that are the creative genius that Walt was.

If Walt had a son or two. The legacy/name would have continued? And so sad to see Diane Disney Miller pass away from that drastic accident. I live only 6 miles from their Home in Napa Ca., but I'm not to sure if any one could think or do as the wonderful Walt Disney.

I hope future geniuses won't trust their legacy to the stock market and barely-regulated capitalism.

Obviously the Disney family was at a creative dead end by this point...the re-naissance of tbe company would happen without them and probably all for the better

@@mattk.3645 Diane Disney was their biological daughter. They were advised not to try again after her. Easy to fact check before commenting.

Creativity is usually not hereditary. Most intelligences are the result, in equal parts, of nature and nurture, according to psychologists. The nephew, Roy E. Disney, however, worked for the company under Walt Disney and continued to function in a creative capacity within the Feature Animation department until the early aughts. Family members of founders are most useful in holding the professional managements to account, and I think Abigail Disney is now the person who is most able to help serve as Disney's conscience and to speak against certain actions that the executive leadership and the Board of Directors take. And, two of her siblings are also now starting to be a little more vocal.
