1982 Stanford at UCLA

This is the 11/13/1982 Stanford at UCLA game. this was the first year that UCLA switched to The Rose Bowl as their home field. Stanford had pre season expectations of a Rose Bowl bid but they had been shattered by inconsistent play. Despite this they were no easy out with John Elway at the helm. This was a tough spot for UCLA. It was the game before rival USC and they were locked in a 4 way race for the conference title with Washington, USC and Arizona State. The Bruins would win a shoot out and eventually gained a Rose Bowl bid with another tough win over USC the next week. I claim no rights.

The state of California should pass a law that UCLA, from now on, MUST wear these style uniforms, regardless of who they have as a supplier/sponsor. A classic look that should never be touched. Another excellent upload. Thank you.

PAC 10 was tough this season. UCLA beat Michigan twice, including Rose Bowl. Stanford beat Ohio State, Big Ten runner up.

Tough season for Stanford. The next game after this loss to UCLA was the famous loss at Cal with that lateral play (band is on the field). John Elway would not play in a bowl game.
