Bought a red one in 82 and another red one in 2022. Lol!😊 Still wicked fast even today.

I had a red '82 and twisted the crank getting happy with it. This one was welded up. The Don Vesco shop knew what they were doing. This one puts down more than double the RWHP of stock. I had an '82 KZ1000J standard, black. Nice bike, plenty fast. Then my pal bought a GS1100E and I was crazy about it. We rode 1100 miles in one day from San Angelo TX to Daytona Beach and swapped bikes because being shorter, the KZ fit him better. We rode from 6AM to midnight. USAF days, what memories.

Best as a drag bike or Bonneville bike like this one was. Having gobs of power (like double) come in over 7K is not conducive to corner carving.
