He came back to New Haven in 1993 and did a much more gracious show then.

He was in much better vocal shape here than the first time I saw him (Saratoga, 1986 -- also in my playlist). Personality wise, though..

I saw this show and he was not at his best. It lasted barely 2-hours and no encore. He played in Hartford in July and was phenomenal that night, one of his best shows I have ever seen. He went on to cancel the last two shows in Worcester Mass. He did not perform his next tour until 1992. He was battling his demons (drugs) at the time for sure.

Yes, I remember this little hissy fit well -- the FIRST words he said to the audience all evening! It was a bit of a shock. And then he played "Your Song". I guess he was still nose deep in the coke at this point...

It was unusual that he stuck his signature ballads ("Daniel", "Candle In The Wind", "Your Song") in the middle of the show instead of at the end.

Nice piano solo during "ML&MH2". Grat to heat "FF/LLB". but I could have done without "Sorry.."
