Excellent and thorough as always, Brook, thank you for sharing. Sometimes it's easy to fall into the trap of considering a bike "done" as soon as you finish the restoration, but the break-in period, all the adjustments, fluid changes and inevitable little fixes here and there are what makes the real difference. And above all, it's what makes the bike reliable. Congratulations from Italy!

Dear Sir, firstly note that I live in Australia and in 1980 I bought a brand new BMW R80/7 , not too much difference ( except maybe the exhaust pipe ) from your BMW R80ST, great job by the way
