Love the truck...I still have my grandfather's 1978 Chevy 3/4 4×4. It almost went to the crusher in 2006 but I gave it a new lease on life...got a full body restoration and it was rebuilt into the Fall Guy truck. I drive it in the summer months only and store it in the winter. Still has the original 350 and transmission 40 years later. Thanks for your channel and saving the old trucks!

Rick, I learned a long time ago that if you put the trans in second gear, it lines everything up in the trans so you can put it into reverse without any problems. LMC truck is my go to place when I need parts. I don't know what he's paying for the truck, but it's not enough. That truck is awesome and it's a big block too. It was painful watching that guy driving up on the trailer. Those fish could be salmon.

You did a nice job on Mule for your brother. He's really got something to work with now. I am by no means a GM man (I have my valid reasons after 1968) but I gotta love a 454 or even a 427 for that manner with a 3 speed + granny. Your brother puts a bit of TLC to that truck as he has time it will last him another 30 years and look good doing it.. You fixed that up just enough that he has a reliable truck that seems above standard and it's certainly heavy duty, but you didn't do so much that the truck cost an arm and leg to purchase. Your brother can now add to it as his budget will handle, or drive it how it is , his choice. That guy loading Mule, hmmmm, take em out of an automatic trans truck and they are lost. He should have let you load the truck while he stood in front to insure your were centered on the ramps etc. Oh well, I guess he'll learn. It cracks me up how much Jamie loves every single truck, she sees the good in everything. But ya know, I have the same affliction, perhaps it's a good one to have, just like there are no bad animals. Thanks for the Video Rick, and I'm sure your brother will appreciate it too.

Those trucks with a "granny 1st gear" were awesome pull rigs. My old '77 F250 Ford Ranger had the 4 speed manual tranny and was good at pulling trailers. But was light in the ass end. But it had the 351M (windsor motor basically) and was low geared in the rear end as well.
