Gotta love these throwback games. Back before college football was tainted money and fame.

It's fun to watch these games. Not just because Nebraska was good, but because nowadays the 90s Huskers and Tom Osborne get talked about like these untouchable gods. It's kind of refreshing to see the games and see that they didn't win every play or score on every drive. They just never let a bad play or turnover snowball into a string of mistakes.

Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado, against teams not named Nebraska or when not facing each other- undefeated. A forgotten element of what made 1995 Nebraska so legendary- they clobbered capable teams. And these 3 Big 8 teams won their bowl games decisively.

@TheRyantologist Nobody wants your opinion. Brings stats. 8 of the 11 RS opponents that neb faced lost 55 games during the regular season. 33 wins/88 games = 38 winning %. Vandy's lifetime winning % is better than that. No SEC fan will bow their chest over beating Vandy. None! CO , KSU, and KS faced 4 of the 8 awful teams that Neb faced plus their own ridiculous schedules. KS and KSU faced Cinci in back to back weeks and won by 5 and 2 pts. Cinci finished 6-5. 1995 Cotton bowl (CO vs OR) was 2-1st yr coaches. Find another big bowl where that has ever happened. 1995 was a complete anomaly.

They beat Washington State by a score of 35-21.It was 1) The fewest number of points they scored all season. 2) The smallest margin of victory they had all season. 3) It was one of two games (Florida) where they trailed after the 1st quarter. 4) They tied the game with 14:43 in the first half 7-7. It was the shortest amount of time (44:43) they wouldn't trail all season for a remainder of any game. 5) They took the lead with 8:29 remaining in the second quarter and never relinquished it. It was the shortest amount of time (36:31) they would have a lead without relinquishing for the remainder of any game. That's just obscene. Much of the other stuff has been mentioned, but the fact that this was their "worst" game of the year tells you something.
